Stuffy

Uninspired.

Heavy headachy head. Blocked nose. Lots of dry cough. The only fun I had last was mimicking Darth Vader's 'I am your father' line when I was being nebulized at the doctor's.

I don't know if I'm making sense. I'm seriously trying to. I hate winter. no posts for a while.

I hope I get well soon. I hope yoga helps.

Yay!! I love the winter.
Awesomeness.

And I hate yoga.

BTW, apart from Anirudh's suggestion (ROTFL!), try Bournvita. Faster, Taller, Stronger.

:D

I'm sorry if I gave you that nasty cold. Get well soon. Try chicken soup. Knorr's instant soups work too.

Anirudh: Sone-chandi ka daam dekha hai? I toh say good old iron is the best. It toh even prevents anaemia, ji haan!

(And if that's the case, how come those raja-maharajas didn't come up with the theory of relativity? Why did the world need to wait for Al-bertie for that, huh? Huh? Huh? Bol ab?)

Manmeet Singh said...

I don't have any remedies for you,I generally leave that thing for the doc.
I can just say : "GET WELL SOON"

Anirudh Garg said...

@ espera

u seem to be acting smart with me missy...hmmm...

I've had a cold for 8 months now, so technically my advice should be the best advice.
Not.

Bleh try running, it clears the nasal cavity.
Really, it does.
:P

Anirudh:
"u seem to be acting smart with me"

I COULD of course say something along the lines of, "I don't need to act. I am smart."
But naah. You proved yourself by quoting India TV.

=P

ah my friend u fail to understand

in today's fast and tense life, da best way to chill ur mind is to laugh it out...and da best medium is thru channels like india tv and movies like deshdrohi
bt i never saw da movie and will always regret it...sigh...

Espèra said...

That's new.
I expected you to use that hair oil that Amitabh Bachhan prescribes. You know, stress kam karne ke liye.

Espèra said...

Oh yes, Navratna hair oil.

Anirudh -

Yeah right. :D
you won't find me in the same room as a container of Chyawanprash. Especially the new "tasty" one which is supposed to be drunk with milk.

Aditi.c. -

I tried honey with nuts....:)

Don't know about it fighting cold, but it tasted pretty good.

Espera -

The only things I like about winter are seeing my breath in the early morning when I exhale through the mouth, having the hair on the side of my face stand up which makes me look like Logan from the X-men and placing my hand on cold glass to see the condensation around it.

That's about it, really.

PS - Its Horlicks, not bournvita(Sharper, Taller, Stronger) :]

Anuj -

I don't think so, only just my reluctance to wear a sweater.
Your comment just gave me an idea for today's supper, thanks!

I am -

Medicines helped and so did the yoga programme which I attended.

Your concern is really touching (!)

Pulzkit -

When you're in a warm bed on a cold winter morning, you don't really care how important the day is. all you want to do is sleep. atleast that's what I like to do.

Not commenting? Oh, I'm sorry, I'll do that chips thing now.

Manmeet -

Leave it to the doc, you're right and you're the only sensible guy here.

Shitij -

8 freaking months??
How's that?

If you take your own advice and go for a run in the cold every morning, We just might be able to deduce the cause of your illness...:D

Shitij Nigam said...

Naah I'm smart. I run on a treadmill.
:P

And yes, 8 months. 9 ending this December. I feel so proud of myself.

And yes, sorry for gatecrashing :P

honey and nuts obviously would've tasted heavenly! what all we 'concerned' people are waitin to know is whether ne of d remedies mentioned so enthusiastically worked n are u better now??
p.s. manmeet might have said d wisest thing but theres no harm in follown other advices too sometimes antibiotics if not taken in a proper way disturb ur immunity n also ur digestion.. keep tryin d old grand ma ways like inhaling hot steam! i bet it helps.. :) enjoy winters i always do!

good news for all

abhinav is fine now :P

he was so busy playing games on his pc that he cudnt care to tell us, as aditi said, concerned ppl abt him being fine...

ok sry..ill cut the crap...
he IS fine btw

Espèra said...

How does your hair on ONE side of your face stand up? What are you? The Abominable Snowman?

Quicksilver said...

Shitij -

And I thought I was the one with the perpetually blocked nose.

Gatecrashing? No, not at all.

Anirudh -

I'm ashamed to admit I've googled something as lame as Chyawanprash.

But here it is.

Aditi.c. -

Well, as Anirudh put it very nicely I am better now. Okay, I admit, sometimes home remedies do work but usually only because of the placebo effect.
Really, so it doesn't work for me :P

Anirudh(again) -

good news for all

abhinav is fine now :P

It kinda reminds me of a certain newspaper headline announcing that that the head of state has recovered from a life threatening disease after a long fought battle.

thank you for doing me justice

...

PS: It wasn't just any computer game, it was LF2 (google it, there's a free download)

Espera -

Well alright, I missed out an 's'.

I'm sorry if that makes you feel better. :D

You're a stickler for correct language aren't you, ma'am?
In a word, a Grammar Nazi? :P

Espèra said...

I still don't get it. And anyway, you're supposed to be the Grammar Nazi. So shut up.

See, you wrote, "...having the hair on the side of my face stand up..." and what I can't understand is, how much hair do you have that it actually stands up visibly?

I didn't get the "missed an S" part either because ONE+S either gives you "ones" or "sone" and neither make much sense.

@abhinav

nah...its more like amitabh bachchan having a back ache and the whole india actually going to temples to pray for him and celebrating as if pakistan has been completely destroyed (except its bands...man their music rocks...) when he feels fine...

Someone's in a very grumpy mood.

I meant "sides" ma'am. And there is a bit of a stubble.

Anirudh -

Yes, I remember the time he was admitted at Lilavati, a much bigger media scene than those for the countless bomb blasts in J&K.
